Calculus made my head hurt. ESPN didn’t.
True story. When I started college, I had dreams of being the world’s greatest architect. Then I took calculus. And phrases like, “a function f is cofunction of a function g if f(A) = g(B) whenever A and B are complementary angles” made my head spin.
To stop the spinning I turned on ESPN and was quickly introduced to the “This is SportsCenter” campaign. Immediately, I was hooked. I knew what I wanted to do.
So, I sold my graphing calculator, bought a CA, and started wearing a shirt and tie with jeans.
It was a decision that allowed me to call Atlanta, Boston, and Chicago “home”. It allowed me to work for globally recognized agencies, helping clients big and small, pitch and win new business, raise awareness for non-profits, and even introduced me to my lovely wife.
